August 3, 2017

ANDERSON, SC – United Community Bank Mortgage Services is pleased to welcome veteran banker Barry Roe to its team as a mortgage loan officer. Roe is based in Pendleton, S.C., and serves the Upstate region in Anderson, Seneca and surrounding areas. Roe brings more than 15 years of local banking experience to the United team.

“Barry’s extensive mortgage experience in the Upstate gives him keen insight into this market,” said Mike Davies, President of United Community Mortgage Services. “We anticipate he’ll make a great addition to our team and look forward to having him on board.”

Roe was a broker before launching his career as a loan officer at Perpetual Bank in 1999. Roe decided to switch paths after he saw a need for construction workers to be called on for construction to permanent loans, and still specializes in this area today. Throughout his career, he has acquired an array of skills including purchasing mortgages, refinancing existing loans and specializing in construction to permanent loans.

“I am pleased to join the United Community bank team,” said Roe. “I believe what sets United Community bank a part is its dedication to providing the best quality service to its customers, and overall positive atmosphere.”

Roe is a lifelong resident of the Upstate and is active in his community. He is a board member of Rebuild Upstate, an organization that helps the elderly and low income residents with home repairs. He is also a founding member of The Outdoor Dream Foundation, which sends children with life threatening illnesses on hunting and fishing trips.

Roe lives with his wife, Tammie King Roe, and his two daughters, Claudia and Kingslee Roe, in Anderson. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and cheering on the Clemson Tigers football team.
