Greenville Technical College CCD Employees Honored at South Carolina Association of Higher Continuing Education Conference

GREENVILLE, SC – Five Greenville Technical College employees from the Corporate & Career Development Division (CCD) were recognized at the 2014 South Carolina Association of Higher Continuing Education (SCAHCE) Conference. Three were recognized as outstanding continuing education professionals and two were elected as officers of the state board.

Marco Luzzatti, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt Train-the-Trainer and Coach, won the Outstanding CE Professional of the Year award. Scotty Nicholson, CNC Operator Instructor, won the CE Instructor of the Year award; and, Belinda Storay, executive administrative assistant to the Dean and VP, won the Outstanding Support Staff award. The winners of these awards were chosen from nominations from continuing education divisions and departments across the state technical colleges and four-year colleges and universities.

Leslie Trant, dean of the CCD, was elected president of the state continuing education board for the 2014-2015 academic year. Kelley Roark, public information coordinator for CCD from the office of marketing and communication, was elected as secretary for the same term.

SCAHCE serves private and public entities to promote continuing education within South Carolina and respond to the needs of educators, administrators, students, and other consumers of continuing education programs.
