FAVOR Greenville receives $100,000 grant from Greenville Women Giving
May 22, 2018At their Annual Meeting on May 15th, Greenville Women Giving (GWG) awarded FAVOR Greenville a $100,000 grant.
FAVOR Greenville will use the monies to provide vital recovery services to the Nicholtown community and surrounding areas through meetings, recovery coaching services, an annual rally, and training volunteers in the Nicholtown community to be recovery coaches.
“Unfortunately, recovery is not universally available to all in need. Nicholtown and other minority communities have been ignored and marginalized in terms of recovery access. By infusing recovery into this community, we believe we can make a difference and have a significant impact. Not only by helping to heal the Nicholtown community but by setting the example for other communities to follow,” said Rich Jones, CEO and COO of FAVOR Greenville.
“We believe this partnership with Greenville Women Giving will give us a replicable model for the county, the region and ultimately the nation.
“My deepest appreciation to the Board and over 500 members of Greenville Women Giving for the generous life changing gift.”
