Extraordinary women in healthcare honored
April 2, 2018AnMed Health honored women in healthcare who put the “extra” in extraordinary. On March 29, during the 2018 Extraordinary Women in Healthcare reception and symposium at AnMed Health Cancer Center the awards were handed out.
The three winners were among 28 women nominated for the awards. The winners were selected by a confidential review panel comprised of previous extraordinary women honorees.
Aimee Sharp, ICU nurse manager, received The Gladys Grantland Extraordinary Woman in Clinical Excellence Award. Tammy Gillespie, director of training and organizational development, accepted the Mildred Jones Extraordinary Woman in Health Leadership Award and Donna Anderson, chief nursing officer at AnMed Health Cannon in Pickens, was awarded the Virginia Gilmer Extraordinary Woman in Healthcare Community Service Award.
AnMed Health honors extraordinary women in healthcare every day, but hands out the special awards during Women’s History month in March. This was the 13 year of the Extraordinary Women in Healthcare event.
