Countybank announces promotion of Jim Fowler in Greenville

Countybank announced Jim Fowler has been named to the position of Executive Vice President of Corporate Banking and Strategic Initiatives. He is a second-generation banker with over 34 years of experience in the financial industry.
“Jim’s skill set, experience and exceptional level of personal drive will serve him well as we look to have him lead the charge in reaching out to larger corporate clientele along the I-85 corridor, offering customized banking solutions in the manner that most South Carolina businesses appreciate and deserve,” says Ken Harper, COO of Countybank. “The recognition that comes with this important position is well deserved.”
Fowler is a graduate of Wofford College as well as the North Carolina School of Banking and the Southeastern Trust School at Campbell University. Over the past 19 years, he has played an instrumental role in Countybank’s success, holding leadership positions in each of the bank’s lines of business, from retail and commercial banking, to positions with Countybank Trust & Investments Group, Countybanc Insurance and Countybank Mortgage.

Fowler is involved in a variety of community organizations, including being a founding board member of the Lakelands Fellowship of Christian Athletes and serving on board of the Caine Halter YMCA in Greenville. He is a director and trustee of the Greenwood First Presbyterian Church Endowment, Secretary/Treasurer of the Independent Banks of South Carolina, a member of the United Way Palmetto Society, past director of the Piedmont Technical College Foundation and past member of the Self Regional Healthcare and Lander University boards of visitors.
