United Community Bank Angel Tree provides Christmas to Upstate Children

December 13, 2017

United Community Bank announced that its Upstate branches provided Christmas gifts for 385 children through the bank’s annual Angel Tree program. Participating branches placed a tree in their lobby with a child’s information on each “Be an Angel” tag. This year, United partnered with nine different agencies across the Upstate and is thrilled to provide Christmas to so many children.

“United Community Bank is committed to making our community a better place, and there is no better time to show that pledge than during the holidays,” said Michelle Seaver, President of United Community Bank for Greenville County. “By providing Christmas magic to deserving children, we seek to fulfill our bank philosophy of ‘treating others how we want to be treated.’ This program is not only a gift to the children and our community, but also to our team, for the joy it gives us to help others.”

This year, United partnered with the following agencies: Laurens Social Services, Greenwood Social Services, Abbeville Social Services, Cherokee County Social Services, DSS – Spartanburg County, Greenville County Foster Parents Association, Pickens County Social Services, Anderson County DSS and Oconee Social Services. All gifts were new, unwrapped items.
