International business leader Carlos Ghosn to return to Greenville

Greenville Tech Foundation to Host Chairman and CEO of the Alliance
The Greenville Tech Foundation will host internationally renowned automotive executive Carlos Ghosn for a private event on Nov. 7, 2017. Mr. Ghosn is chairman and chief executive officer of the Alliance, the world’s largest automotive group. Mr. Ghosn is Chairman and CEO of France’s Groupe Renault and serves as chairman of Japan’s Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., and Mitsubishi Motors Corp. Renault, Nissan, and Mitsubishi Motors together sold 9.96 million vehicles in 2016 – more than one in nine cars worldwide and they expect to sell more than 10.5 million units in 2017.
Mr. Ghosn has been the industry’s leading advocate for sustainable transportation; Renault and Nissan were the first automakers to launch a range of affordable zero-emission cars and commercial vehicles. The Alliance cumulatively had sold more than 500,000 electric vehicles by September 2017 – accounting for about half of all electric vehicles on the road today.
Mr. Ghosn previously lived in Greenville during his time as chairman and CEO of Michelin North America from 1989 to 1996.
