Hartness introduces new community to Upstate

November 5, 2016

The Hartness family has announced the construction of a new, walkable village to the Upstate. Located on Greenville’s east side, the Hartness property encompasses 400 pristine acres, over 180 of which will be permanently preserved green spaces including 15 miles of walkable trails connecting neighbors to woodlands, lakes, streams, wildlife and shared recreational areas.

Homes will be situated within a short walk of restaurants, coffee shops, specialized retail and small businesses. Residents will benefit not only from an easy five mile drive to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport but also from the shopping and dining attractions on Main Street in Greenville’s award-winning downtown, accessible in less than a 15 minute drive.

“Homes will include an array of thoughtfully crafted home types including estates, manors, cottages and town homes.” Said David Pisano, Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

“Our desire is to provide the Upstate with a beautifully designed, pedestrian-friendly community that encourages chance social interaction and ample opportunity for enjoying outdoor recreation.”

“Hartness will embody the ideal hamlet-classic architecture, great urbanism, a pedestrian network that is celebrated over that of cars-inserted next to a mature nature preserve,” said Lew Oliver, Hartness community designer. “This will form one of the next great neighborhoods in the South, providing a nurturing community for all who inhabit it.”
