HAECO Americas selects BE&K Building Group & BRPH for design-build of new PTI Airport Hangar

 

HAECO Americas has selected BE&K Building Group, in partnership with BRPH, to design-build a new two-bay, wide-body aircraft maintenance hangar at Piedmont Triad International (PTI) Airport located in Greensboro, North Carolina. The 176,000-square-foot facility will be constructed adjacent to existing hangars. Additional facility components will include shops, administrative offices and a support annex totaling 73,000-square-feet.

The selection of BE&K Building Group and BRPH for this project highlights the ongoing strong design-build relationship between the two firms. Over the past 12 years, this team has completed more than 25 projects together with a combined value of more than $1.2 billion.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Monday, August 22. In attendance were HAECO Americas representatives, BE&K Building Group and BRPH team members, City of Greensboro and Guilford County officials, and North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory. The project is expected to bring 500 new jobs to Piedmont Triad International Airport and the surrounding community. Construction is scheduled to begin in October 2016 with completion by the end of 2017.
