Stuart Smith & Co. merges with NAI Earle Furman

SPARTANBURG, SC – Stuart Smith & Co., a Spartanburg-based commercial real estate sales and leasing firm, today announced it has merged with NAI Earle Furman, a leading full-service commercial real estate firm specializing in the office, industrial, investment, land, multifamily and retail sectors.
The merger extends NAI Earle Furman’s lead as the largest commercial real estate brokerage in the Upstate and is expected to further strengthen the company’s business in the key growth market of Spartanburg while offering Stuart Smith & Co.’s clients a deeper level of resources.
All Stuart Smith & Co. sales, leasing and property management services will now be conducted under the NAI Earle Furman brand. Stuart Smith will join Dan Dunn, Andrew Babb, Kevin Pogue and Lianna Saad in the Spartanburg office located on S. Pine Street, increasing the company’s overall operation to a total of 49 licensed CRE brokers and 31 staff members across three Upstate, SC offices.

Stuart Smith is a 1984 graduate of Wofford College and a 1994 graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary. He has brokered commercial real estate transactions in the Upstate for more than 20 years and launched Stuart Smith & Co. in 2006 where he served as president and broker-in-charge. Over the years he has handled a variety of transactions in industrial, office, retail space and land sectors throughout the Upstate of South Carolina.
Stuart currently serves on the Upstate Regional Education Center Advisory Board and as a trustee at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in San Francisco, California. He served the local real estate community as a past president of the Spartanburg Association of REALTORS and past chairman of its Governmental Affairs Committee. He served the South Carolina REALTORS as the Region 7 Vice-President, the chairman of its Issues Mobilization Committee and its Legislative Committee. He is honored to have received the REALTOR of the Year award in 2005 from the Spartanburg Association of REALTORS. Stuart is also a teacher, deacon and serves on various committees at First Baptist Church of Spartanburg.
