Southeast Aviation Expo 2014 was a High Flying Success

GREENVILLE, SC – “From flying EAA Young Eagles to flying beagles, and other animals saved by Pilots N Paws, and everything aviation in between the Southeast Aviation Expo had it going on this past weekend at the Greenville Downtown Airport,” stated Don Purcell, President of the South Carolina Aviation Association.

For the first time, this year’s event featured Pilots N Paws’ Greenville Rescue Animal Airlift:  Make a Flight. Save a Life!  where animals were saved from regional shelters and flown to new homes in the U.S.; EAA Chapter 249 offering free Young Eagles flights to youth who might never have had a chance to experience the awe of aviation, and a take off and landing demonstration by Just Aircraft’s award winning SuperStol which is manufactured in S.C. and can take off AND land in less then 200 feet!”The Southeast Aviation Expo continues to grow a little each year and this year was no exception.  I had good contacts both days,” stated Chris Holder, Concorde Battery Corporation’s Eastern US Sales Manager who was exhibiting at the event.

Screen shot 2014-10-01 at 12.47.13 PMEducational sessions were held throughout the two day event and many different kinds of aircraft were on static display, from large planes used for missionary work and transporting cargo into hard to reach areas to personal and business luxury airplanes.

“The Southeast Aviation Expo was the highlight of my month, no doubt,” stated Embry Riddle Aeronautical University student Austin Dunlap.

The Southeast Aviation Expo (SEAE) was held at the Greenville Downtown Airport in South Carolina this past Friday and Saturday.
