USC Upstate Offers 11 Foreign Languages in Evening Classes

SPARTANBURG, SC – The University of South Carolina Upstate’s World Languages Institute will offer instruction in 11 foreign languages this fall in non-credit, evening courses. Classes start the week of October 6, 2014 and run through the week of November 10, meeting once per week on the USC Upstate campus. No foreign language experience is required to register.

Classes are:

  • A Taste of French
  • Beginning Arabic
  • Beginning Chinese – Level 1
  • Beginning Biblical Hebrew – Level 1
  • Beginning Biblical Hebrew – Level 2
  • Beginning Russian – Level 1
  • Beginning Spanish Conversation
  • Beginning Ukrainian
  • Introduction to Irish Gaelic
  • Introductory German – Level 1
  • Introductory Italian
  • Introductory Latin- Level 1
  • Introductory Latin – Level 2

The deadline to register is October 2 and the cost is $75 per class, plus books and study materials.
