Renewable Water Resources Presented NACWA PEAK Performance Awards for Outstanding Facility Operations

GREENVILLE, SC -Renewable Water Resources (ReWa) was recently awarded National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) Peak Performance Awards for all ReWa facilities for calendar year 2013. These awards were presented to ReWa staff for their commitment to clean water while performing exceptional operation of ReWa facilities on a daily basis.
“We are proud to have a team of professional staff who go the extra mile to protect the quality of our water environment here in the upstate. These awards represent a significant achievement, especially in the face of increasingly stringent state and federal water quality standards,” said Glen McManus, director of operations at ReWa.
NACWA’s Peak Performance Awards recognize member agency facilities for outstanding compliance of their National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit limits. This recognition program consists of three categories – Platinum, Gold and Silver. Platinum awards recognize 100 percent compliance with permits over a consecutive five year period, Gold awards recognize 100 percent compliance with permits for the past calendar year and Silver recognizes facilities with no more than five permit violations in the past calendar year.
ReWa’s Platinum facilities are Lower Reedy, Mauldin Road, Georges Creek and Slater-Marietta. ReWa’s Gold facilities are Piedmont Regional, Pelham, Durbin Creek and Gilder Creek.
