January 17, 2013GREENVILLE, SC – January 20, 2013 – A host of former college and NFL players will serve as assistant coaches and mentors in the South Carolina College All Star Bowl coming up in March.

Eligible players include all seniors that just finished playing football in one of the 12 collegiate football programs in South Carolina as well as out of state seniors that grew up playing football in South Carolina.
The list of coaches and mentors include: Patrick Sapp, a former Clemson standout and first-round draft pick of the San Diego Chargers; Brian Dawkins, another Clemson alum and a nine-time NFL Pro Bowl selection; Levon Kirkland, a two-time All Pro linebacker with the Pittsburgh Steelers and now head football coach at Shannon Forest Christian School; James Trapp, a Super Bowl winner with the Baltimore Ravens and now the Clemson team chaplain; Marco Coleman, a former first round pick of the Miami Dolphins after a collegiate career with Georgia Tech; Sam Cowart, a former Florida State star and Pro Bowl linebacker with the Buffalo Bills; Woody Danztler, an Orangeburg native and a former All-ACC player at Clemson; Richard Moncrief, a former Clemson quarterback and now an assistant coach at Alabama State University; Tim Shields, a former all-conference lineman at Illinois State; Rodney Blunt, a former Clemson running back; Charlie Brown, a former South Carolina State standout and two-time Pro Bowl selection; and Freddie Brown, a former Wofford College star and long-time coach in the Upstate.
