Disney on Ice Food Drive for Harvest Hope

GREENVILLE, SC – October 30, 2012 – Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy invites the Upstate community to help them collect non-perishable items for Harvest Hope Food Bank. The food drive will be held at the BI-LO Center on Saturday, November 3 from noon to 3:00 pm. For every five non-perishable items donated, a family will receive one voucher for a free ticket to opening night of Disney on Ice (Wednesday, November 21)*. The goal is to collect a record amount of food for struggling Upstate families.
The event, while helping Harvest Hope with its mission to stamp out hunger, will also have lots of fun activities for the whole family. Activities include face painting for the kids and a chance to win one of three Disney-themed prize packs. Disc jockeys from WSPA-FM, 98.9, will be on hand to broadcast live.
Disney on Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy will show at the BI-LO Center from November 21 through 25. Thrill to high-speed stunts as Lightning McQueen, Mater and the crew of Disney•Pixar’s Cars race across the ice. Dive into The Little Mermaid’s enchanting undersea kingdom and enter the mystical world of Pixie Hollow with Tinker Bell and the Disney Fairies as they reveal the magic that lies within! The toys are back in town with heroic action when Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie, and the Toy Story gang escape from the rambunctious tots of Sunnyside Daycare and race for home, in their most daring adventure ever!
