George Patrick McLeer Jr, Executive Director Mauldin Cultural Center
October 21, 2012The Mauldin Cultural Center (MCC) consists of a volunteer board, City of Mauldin representatives, executive director George Patrick McLeer, as well as many event volunteers. The facility is a city-owned property.
The MCC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, was founded in 2004 with the purpose of developing a community Cultural Center for the City of Mauldin on the grounds of the original Mauldin High School and later Mauldin Elementary School. It aims to provide an upscale environment for the cultural benefit of the citizens of Mauldin, SC and its surrounding communities. It provides diverse programming in the arts, culture and education.
Currently, the Mauldin Cultural Center plays host to 30,000 people and 1,000 events annually. Class, performances, exhibits, community meetings and private rentals are among the various offerings at the MCC annually.
