Legends of Beach is a crowd favorite and since they rarely play in the Upstate, we’re excited to welcome them to Greenville! stated Bob Ross, better known as Beach Bob, the host of the Beach Bob Oldie’s Show heard on 103.3 WOLT-FM. This topnotch beach band consists mainly of former members of the Embers band. These guys are some of the best vocalists and musicians in beach music today. Jackie Gore wrote and sang the original classic I Love Beach Music. Recently joining the group is Jackie’s daughter, Terri Gore who is well known throughout the Carolinas for her many beach music hits, added Ross.
I’ve seen them all and Legends of Beach is the greatest beach band ever. No question. Phenomenal musicians and vocalists who love to perform. Beach music doesn’t get any better., stated Greenville resident and park planning volunteer, Will Quinn.
If you like to shag or watch people shag this will be THE event of the year!, stated Carl Nuttall, park project volunteer and local shagger.
We will have a great silent auction with fun items like an introductory flight lesson, tickets to local events and lot’s MORE!!! stated Terri Stafford, a local Greenville resident and park project volunteer. Several great restaurants will have tasting stations and Papa John’s has generously offered to bring as much pizza as the crowd can eat! Stafford said.
Proceeds from this event will help build a park for our community, stated Hank Brown, Owner of Greenville Jet Center. The park was designed to appeal to people of all ages, there will be two runways and a taxiway around the park for people to use for exercising; a natural amphitheatre where people can sit and see the real runway action, Brown said. When the park is complete we will be able to host school field trips, families and groups for picnics at the picnic pavilion, Brown added.
The presenting sponsor for this event is McKinney Dodge. Many other companies have pledged their support. We have party sponsorships still available and welcome any silent auction items that people or companies would like to donate!, Stafford added.
Come Party Down for the Playground with us!! stated Maria Jose Lehman, a park planning volunteer. This is an exciting project whose legacy will be felt years from now. I was recently inspired by a local article that mentioned all the things that are being enjoyed and used today that were built 50 or 100 years ago. It made me think… what have I done that will still be here in 50 years? Lehman said. I think this park will be and that makes all the effort very rewarding! exclaimed Lehman.
Hope you can join us for a great evening of fun and entertainment that also will raise a lot of money for a great cause, Frasher stated.
