2012 SAE International President Frank O. Klegon to Speak at IEEE Electric Vehicle Event
February 21, 2012WARRENDALE, PA – February 20, 2012 – SAE International 2012 President Frank O. Klegon will speak to a group of senior automotive executives and engineers during the 2012 IEEE International Electric Vehicle Conference (IEVC), scheduled for March 4-8 at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, S.C. SAE International is a technical co-sponsor of the event.
Mr. Klegon will speak on March 5 during the Gala Dinner; he will talk about electric vehicles and therole that SAE International plays in furthering such technology.
TheIEVC will facilitate the exchange of information on new global trendsin technology, engineering, standards and deployment aspects amongacademic and industrial thought leaders of the fast-growing electricmobility ecosystem via a unique cross-organizational platform.
Mr.Klegon is president of FOKUS Associates LLC, a product/technologyassessment and development consulting company. Prior to founding FOKUSAssociates LLC, Klegon held several key leadership positions withChrysler and DaimlerChrysler. These included Executive VicePresident–Product Development and Design; Vice President–Core Components& Process; Vice President–Truck Platform Team; and Director–VehicleDevelopment–Large Car Platform. Earlier in his career, Klegon workedfor American Motors, where he served as Senior Manager/Product Engineer.Mr. Klegon holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Wayne State University and an MBA from Michigan State University. Also, he attended Harvard Business School, concentrating in Managing Global Opportunities.
