President of BMW Manufacturing to Speak at Spartanburg Area Chamber’s Annual Meeting
February 10, 2011SPARTANBURG, SC – February 10, 2011 – Josef Kerscher, President of BMW Manufacturing, Co. is scheduled to speak at the Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting on Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park. The Annual Meeting, presented by Extended Stay Hotels, is the Chamber’s most prestigious event of the year, celebrating the many accomplishments of the Upstate business community.
Our relationships in the community and with the Chamber have always been vital to our success. I am looking forward to celebrating our accomplishments and sharing our vision for the South Carolina plant, said Josef Kerscher, President of BMW Manufacturing Co.
Josef Kerscher began his career with BMW in 1979 and has served in management positions across the company from group leader to department head at the company’s Landshut plant to Managing Director of the Munich plant. He is a graduate of the Technical University of Munich with a mechanical engineering degree with an emphasis on environmental engineering. Mr. Kerscher serves as a board member for South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and serves as Chairman of the Manufacturing Committee. He also serves a member of The Clemson President’s Advisory Board.
