Public Invited To Community Workshop for Bicycle Master Plan

November 15, 2010

WHO: City of Greenville & Alta Planning + Design

WHAT: Community Workshop

WHERE: Hughes Main Library

WHEN: Tuesday, November 16 – 5:30 p.m.

WHY: The City of Greenville has hired Alta Planning + Design, an international firm specializing in bicycle and pedestrian research; planning and design, to develop its Bicycle Master Plan. This is the first of two workshops and it is designed to introduce the project and give attendees an opportunity to provide input on bike facilities, bike routes, problem areas and popular destinations. All citizens, from cycling enthusiasts to recreational riders to concerned motorists, are invited and encouraged to attend. A second workshop will be held in early 2011 to present preliminary plan recommendations.

Citizens can also provide valuable input by completing an online survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GreenvilleSC.
