ReWa Receives 2010 NRPA Corporate Humanitarian Award
November 2, 2010GREENVILLE, SC – November 2, 2010 – Renewable Water Resources is the recipient of the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) 2010 Corporate Humanitarian Award for partnering with the Greenville County Recreation District in creating 6 recreational facilities.
The facilities collectively serve over one million individuals annually and include the Pavilion Recreation Complex in Taylors, Brushy Creek Athletic Complex in Taylors, Pelham Mill Park, Cory Burns Park, Blue Trail (paddling trail) on the Reedy River and the Swamp Rabbit Trail.
The National Corporate Humanitarian Award is presented annually to a corporation or foundation that has made significant and consistent contributions to the recreation, parks, and conservation fields by sponsorship, creation, or implementation of a program or project.
National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA)
NRPA is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing park, recreation and conservation efforts that enhance quality of life for all people. Through its network of roughly 21,000 recreation and park professionals and citizens, NRPA encourages the promotion of healthy lifestyles, recreation initiatives, and conservation of natural and cultural resources.
