SCBT Names Reagan Spartanburg City Executive
September 22, 2010SPARTANBURG, SC – September 22, 2010 – South Carolina Bank and Trust announced that John A. Reagan, IV (Jay) has been named city executive for the Spartanburg area.
“Spartanburg is a significant market for us in South Carolina. We plan to build on the tremendous success Bill Coker and the Wealth Management team have experienced with our entry into this market,” said John F. Windley, president, SCBT, N.A. “Jay’s leadership and experience will be essential as we continue to grow the presence of our retail and commercial bank in the Spartanburg area. We are excited to have a Spartanburg native to lead this expansion.”
Reagan began his banking career with a large regional bank in Spartanburg in 2003. He joined SCBT in 2006 as a private banker in the fast growing Charleston market and was promoted to city executive for the bank’s entry into the James Island market in 2008.

A graduate of Clemson University, Reagan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management. He is also in his second year at the Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking. Reagan is the son of John and Betty Reagan of Spartanburg.
