Bing Travel Lists Furman University Among Nation’s Most Beautiful Campuses

GREENVILLE, SC – September 19, 2010 – Furman University is included among the nation’s 19 most beautiful college campuses in a special slide show on the Bing Travel website.
Furman was featured in “Scenic Colleges and Universities,” a list of America’s “most scenic, stunning colleges and universities.” Other schools on the list included Pepperdine University in California, New York City’s Wagner College, University of Hawaii at Manoa, and the University of Colorado.
“I’ve lived on both coasts and in the Midwest, and one of the things I’ve made sure to do everyplace is check out the local institutes of higher learning,” wrote Bing Travel’s Amy Swanson. “The schools that I’ve found the most memorable are the ones that, due to the campus or the surroundings or both, have left me thinking: How could you study in a beautiful place like this?”Furman has also been honored as one of the country’s most beautiful college campuses by the Princeton Review and the American Society of Landscape Architects .
