Ron Anderson elected to Chair of The Central Midlands Regional Transportation Authority (COMET)

Colliers International’s Ron Anderson was elected Chair of The Central Midlands Regional Transportation Authority (COMET) Board of Directors.

“I am honored to be elected to Chair of the COMET Board of Directors,” said Anderson, Vice President of Administration for Colliers International South Carolina. “It is great to see this organization transform over the years and to be a part of its continual growth.”

Anderson has served as the Vice Chair of The Central Midlands Regional Transportation Authority (COMET) since 2016. He has served as the City of Columbia’s representative on the Board of Directors since November 2011. During his time on the Board, Anderson has helped in the COMET’s transformation into a thriving transit system. Throughout his tenure the COMET has implemented new technological conveniences, expanded routes and increased hours of operation.

Anderson also serves as a member of the Environmental Policy Advisory Committee Central Midlands Council of Governments and is on the Board of Directors of the Midlands Education and Business Alliance (MEBA), having served as a former Chair for the organization.

Anderson is Vice President of Administration for Colliers International | South Carolina and serves as the chief technology and research manager for all Colliers International’s South Carolina offices.
