“I am fortunate to have been awarded the opportunity to contribute to the instructional vision of District Five for the past five years, and I look forward with enthusiasm at building upon past successes, while progressively moving the district even further,” Guliano said.

As Director of Elementary Education, Guliano provided leadership in supporting, promoting, and assessing progress towards improving instructional outcomes at the elementary school level. He also coached and advised educators, while reviewing district goals and policies. Guliano also oversaw programs in the district including Data Teams, Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS), and Response to Intervention (RtI).

“Mr. Guliano has brought an incredible amount of passion to our district serving in elementary education,” said District Five Superintendent Dr. Stephen Hefner. “His wealth of knowledge and extraordinary leadership in this profession makes him the perfect fit for Chief Instructional Officer. We are excited for him as he takes this next step!”

Melton added, “Mr. Guliano will transition into this role seamlessly. He has already assisted our students beyond the elementary level with his planning for instructional initiatives. He will promote continuity, but not complacency in the Instructional Division and across District Five. It is such a thrill to keep him on board, and we look forward to the future!”
