Providence Health announces new urology practice

Providence Health announced the addition of urology services through the new practice, Providence Urology Specialists, and board-certified urologist Dr. Todd Vandenberg.

Urology is the field of medicine that specializes in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases related to the male and female urinary tract and male reproductive system. Conditions related to these systems can be detrimental to a person’s health and quality of life.

Providence Urology Specialists will offer the highly-skilled expertise of Dr. Todd Vandenberg, who has been providing comprehensive and innovative urology services through private practice in Orangeburg for nearly 20 years.

“Urology is an integral part of long-term health and wellness,” says Dr. Vandenberg, “but it can also be a sensitive topic for some. I look forward to offering this community a fresh option for urologic care, affiliated with the top quality compassionate care for which Providence Health is known.”

Dr. Vandenberg received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, after receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.  During medical school, Dr. Vandenberg was ranked in the top 25% of his graduating class.  He has also co-authored numerous articles and has been published in the Journal of Urology.Dr. Vandenberg offers a full scope of up-to-date urologic services, with a special interest in laparoscopy, urologic cancer, endourology and urogynecology.
