Challenger Learning Center adds drone building/flying class to Summer Adventure Camps
January 25, 2018This summer at Richland One’s Challenger Learning Center, campers will learn how to build and fly their own drones. An Introduction to Drones camp was added to the Center’s fun lineup which already includes building and launching rockets, flying jets in flight simulators and so much more.
Campers can sign up now for the Challenger Learning Center’s summer camps for children ages 7 to 18. But, kids don’t get to have all the fun. There’s also a family fun camp where parents can build and launch rockets with their children.
June 11-August 2, the Challenger Learning Center will be hosting summer camps that are out of this world for children of all ages. See the lineup below. All Challenger Learning Center campers should bring a bag lunch and drink to camp. For more information and to register, visit www.thechallengecenter.net, email [email protected] or call (803) 929-3951. The Challenger Learning Center is located at 2600A Barhamville Road.

As young astronauts preparing for a mission deep into outer space, campers will explore robotics, rocketry and aviation. Campers also will visit the e-planetarium, fly planes with flight simulators and assemble and take home their very own robot and rocket.
Rocket Fundamentals Camp/Rocket Camp
Be a rocket scientist. Learn how to build and launch rockets. Campers will keep the rockets they construct.
