Palmetto Health offers free flu shots Saturday, Dec. 2

Palmetto Health is helping protect you and your family from the flu by providing free flu shots. Palmetto Health registered nurses will administer the flu shot to anyone six months and older. Insurance is not required. There will be refreshments, games, prizes and health information provided. Shots are available first-come, first-serve.

Saturday, Dec. 2, 9 a.m.-noon, The Brook, 8328 Parklane Rd., Columbia, South Carolina

Influenza, more commonly known as the flu, is a serious disease you can get from anyone infected. Healthy people can get the flu and adults and children with other chronic diseases, such as diabetes or asthma, are even more at risk.
