The VA is dedicated to serving the needs of the more than 22 million men and women living today who have served in this nation’s armed forces. “Locally, we service more than 82,000, but we know there are thousands of Veterans who do not use the VA for health care services for one reason or another, and we’d truly like to reach out them as well,” said David Omura, the Wm. Jennings Bryan Dorn VA Medical Center director.  Regional Office Director, Leanne Weldin stated, “While we offer individualized claims assistance every day, this event will be a special opportunity for Veterans to access the full range of VA benefits in one place.”

As a VA, we’re focused on the needs of all Veterans, from every generation, through five priorities:

1.   Giving Veterans greater choice so they can decide what works best for them and their families.

2.   Modernizing our systems and technology.

3.   Focusing our VA resources.

4.   Improving timeliness in delivering services and benefits.

5.   And, prevention of Veteran suicide.

The Dorn VAMC, and its seven Community-Based Outpatient Clinics, proudly provides care for more than 82,000 Veterans throughout three-quarters of South Carolina.  The VA Regional Office provides more than $120 million in VA benefits each month to Veterans and beneficiaries across South Carolina.
