City of Columbia Municipal Election update
October 25, 2017
The following individuals filed for the November 7, 2017 Municipal Election:
- Stephen K. Benjamin (incumbent) filed for the Mayoral Seat
- Tameika Isaac Devine (incumbent) filed for the At-Large Seat
- Joseph Azar filed for the At-Large Seat
- Sam Davis (incumbent) filed for the District I Seat
- Christopher A. Sullivan, Sr. filed for the District I Seat
- Daniel J. Rickenmann (incumbent) filed for the District IV Seat
No person filed a declaration to be a write-in candidate for the November 7, 2017 Municipal Election. Therefore, pursuant to South Carolina Code of Laws §7-13-190(E) the following seats will not appear on the November 7, 2017 ballot for the Municipal Election.
- Mayor (Stephen K. Benjamin)
- District IV Council member (Daniel J. Rickenmann)
The certification of all election results will take place on Thursday, November 9, 2017.
