Regional Recycling event scheduled October 21st for Lexington and Richland County residents

Lexington and Richland county residents will have the opportunity to recycle electronics, household hazardous waste, tires, scrap metal and shred paper at the regional recycling event scheduled for October 21, 2017, at Irmo High School, from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.  There will also be a statewide collection of household and farmer pesticides.

This event is being hosted by a partnership of organizations including: County of Lexington Solid Waste Management, Richland County Solid Waste Management, Keep the Midlands Beautiful and the South Carolina Department of Agriculture.

 

When: Saturday, October 21, 2017, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Where: 6671 St. Andrews Road, Irmo, SC (Irmo High School)

What: The following will be accepted from residents for recycling:

*Electronic Waste must be recycled and not placed in the garbage in accordance with the SC Code of Law, 48-60-05 et seq. Residents should keep electronics intact for the purpose of recycling.
