Lexington Medical Center’s community medical center in Gilbert to close

Lexington Medical Center’s community medical center in Gilbert will close permanently on Friday, September 1, 2017 and a new Lexington Medical Center physician practice will open in its place later this fall.

After September 1, patients who have used the community medical center in Gilbert and have outpatient or urgent care needs can visit LexMed.com for a list of Lexington Medical Center community medical centers and their hours of operation. The facilities closest to Gilbert are Lexington Medical Center Lexington at 811 West Main Street in Lexington and Lexington Medical Center Batesburg-Leesville at 338 East Columbia Avenue in Leesville.

Dr. Marcia Taylor from the Gilbert office will join Batesburg-Leesville Family Medicine on September 5. To make an appointment with Dr. Taylor, call the practice at (803) 332 – 4300.

Later this fall, Lexington Family Practice Gilbert will open at the existing location in Gilbert. The board-certified family medicine physicians and highly skilled providers there will offer comprehensive care there for patients of all ages, from children to grandparents.

Patients who would like to establish care with the physicians who will be joining Lexington Family Practice Gilbert should call (803) 926 – 6820 to schedule an appointment. Because of Lexington Medical Center’s electronic health record system, medical information will be available at any of Lexington Medical Center’s locations and will require no action from patients to transfer records.
