Leadership: A Tale of Two Andrews

July 11, 2017

Two Andrews… two Youth Corps graduates… two leaders living a life of influence.

Andrew Maddox went to Lexington High School.  He then went on to Clemson.  He is now in med school.  He has been a steady leader and influence on peers and younger students for years.  He continues to come back and impact the newer Youth Corps students.

Andrew Beckwith went to Blythewood High School and is currently at Coastal Carolina where he led them to a National Championship last year and was selected as the Most Outstanding Player in the College World Series.  Andrew didn’t get there just by being a great athlete… he is a great leader.  He serves others and lifts them up to be their best.

Students can still apply for the amazing Youth Corps experience, a dynamic leadership development experience for thirty-six outstanding 9th and 10th grade students in Richland & Lexington Counties.

To find out more or have your 9th and 10th grade students apply for Youth Corps, go to www.youthcorps.net or call Jeff Becraft, Youth Corps Executive Director, at 665-5640.  Application deadline for the next round of interviews is July 27.

More than one outstanding student has stated, “This is the year that my life changed forever.”
