Lourie Center Offers Wine Tasting Event – June 8

On Thursday, June 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the Lourie Center will celebrate the start of summer with “A Somm-er Affair With Summer Wines”, a guided wine tasting and fundraiser with local wine expert, Erlinda Alexandra Doherty.
Ms. Doherty, a certified wine specialist and owner of ViníCola wine education company, will provide an interactive and entertaining presentation featuring a selection of six summer wines. A catered offering of light hors d’oeuvres will also be served.
A wine curator and described “wine evangelist,” Ms. Doherty views herself as a storyteller. Through the wine tasting, guests will be encouraged to develop new relationships, new associations, and new memories with the history and homeland of the selected summer wines.
This event is open to adults ages 21 and up. Tickets are $50 per person and can be purchased in advance at http://louriecentersc.com/fundraiser/. Proceeds from the event will support programming at the Lourie Center.
