Palmetto Health Adolescent Recovery Center opens new location which expands access for teens

November 16, 2016

Palmetto Health Adolescent Recovery Center has opened a new location. The new location helps the Center to expand access to specialized outpatient services for teens experiencing difficulties in their family, school or community due to behavioral health disorders. Located at 720 Gracern Road, Suite 104, the Center provides young people between the ages 14-19, who are in the process of finding recovery from substance abuse and mental health issues, a place to receive treatment.

“The Adolescent Recovery Center is a unique place to serve our community’s youth and their families,” said Bryan Fox, manager, Adolescent Recovery Center. “We look forward to providing even more services for young people and their families so that they can build a solid foundation for lifelong recovery.”

Designed to provide a safe and supportive place that adolescents can call their own, the Adolescent Recovery Center offers positive youth development activities, which are age and developmental appropriate, in a nonthreatening environment. Substance abuse, mental health and brief intervention treatment programs are offered in group and individual sessions.

The Behavioral Care program at Palmetto Health is one of the largest in South Carolina. It offers a wide array of psychiatric and addiction services to meet the needs of children, adolescents and adults.
