Municipal Association of SC elects new officers, board member

Walterboro Mayor Bill Young has become president of the Municipal Association of SC. Young was elected president by the Association’s board at its December meeting to fill the unexpired term of the former president who became ineligible to serve. Association by-laws call for the board to fill this position until the next membership meeting in July. Young has served on the board since 2010 and was elected first vice president of the Association in July.

Mayor Dick Cronin with the City of Isle of Palms was elected to assume the third vice president position with other current officers moving up one position.
