SC Power Team names Warren Darby VP Global Business

COLUMBIA, SC – South Carolina Power Team is pleased to announce the promotion of Warren Darby as its new Vice President, Global Business. Warren will lead the global business team and its efforts to attract investment and jobs in the South Carolina Power Team service territory.

Warren joined South Carolina Power Team in August of 2014. He began as senior project manager focusing his efforts on project development and management. Since joining the organization Warren has played a vital role in decision locations for many companies, including Wyman-Gordon, and most recently, Dollar Tree Distribution Center.

He formerly worked with South Carolina Department of Commerce as a senior project manager where he focused on new industry recruitment and growing the state’s existing business. He was responsible for over 45 projects statewide, resulting in commitments of more than 5,700 new jobs and nearly $1 billion in new investment. In 2014, Warren was a recipient of the Rural Development Service Award. Warren shared this honor with his colleague Tony Allen for the recruitment of nearly 2,500 jobs and more than $375 million in investment to rural South Carolina.
