Lower Saluda River sirens and strobe lights inoperable

CAYCE, SC – SCE&G reminds the public that warning sirens and strobe lights in the Lower Saluda River area are currently inoperable. Visitors and residents around the Lower Saluda River should not rely on these devices to warn them about rising water levels.

SCE&G advises Lower Saluda River residents and visitors to use caution while nearby or in the river. The Lower Saluda River begins at the Lake Murray Dam and ends where the Saluda and Broad Rivers meet to form the Congaree River.
