City Center Partnership Supports the Removal of Confederate Flag from State House Grounds

COLUMBIA, SC – City Center Partnership today announced its support of removing the Confederate flag from the State House grounds.
As South Carolina’s only managed Business Improvement District, City Center Partnership’s mission is to continue to improve the quality of life for those who work, live, and play in downtown Columbia.
“The recent events have brought about profound grief and grace from many people throughout South Carolina,” said City Center Partnership President and CEO Matt Kennell. “Now is the time to do what is right, and we support the call by Governor Haley and South Carolina leaders to remove the Confederate flag from the State House grounds. Yesterday’s demonstration of unity and leadership is an important milestone for South Carolina. We encourage our businesses and churches to reach out to their elected officials and have their voices heard.”
