SC House Honors Craft Champion Babington Recognized with SC House Resolution

COLUMBIA, SC – The Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas (ABC) today praised the South Carolina House of Representatives today for recognizing and honoring the states first ever National Craft Champion.  Jesse Babington, a fourth year apprentice at Watson Electrical was recognized in a South Carolina House Resolution for winning the gold medal at the 2015 National Craft Championships in the Electrical division.

The Craft Championships took place in March in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Representative Chris Murphy (SC-98) and Representative Joe Daning (SC-92) presented Babington with the Resolution from the house floor.  “We are proud to recognize Jesse for his outstanding accomplishments,” said Rep Daning from the House Floor.

“Jesse’s hard work and love for his craft and determination to be the best, deserve him of our praise.”

Also recognized were Jesse’s sponsoring apprenticeship association, the Charleston Electrical Contractors Association (CECA), company sponsor, Watson Electrical and partnering association, the ABC.
