Columbia Opportunity Resource Announces 2015 Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, SC – Columbia Opportunity Resource (COR), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects talented professionals in the Columbia area to diverse and meaningful networks for leadership, service and fun, has announced its 2015 board of directors. The board includes seven new members who have been elected to serve three-year terms.
This year’s board takes the helm of COR as the organization celebrates the tenth anniversary of its founding. Newly elected board members include:

Anissa Floyd joined COR as its Executive Director in late 2013. She is excited about the new board and the year ahead for COR. “As a native Columbian, I am truly honored to work alongside such a dedicated and passionate group of professionals that represent a broad cross section of my hometown’s diverse and vibrant community.”
As Columbia experiences unprecedented development and growth, COR has emerged at the forefront of the city’s movement to attract, engage and retain talent. “COR is the premiere organization in the Columbia area for talented professionals,” Floyd said. “As COR celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, it is an ideal time for us to reflect on the vital role our organization has played in cultivating the current leaders of our community’s venerable institutions. We look forward to ushering in a new era with a renewed commitment to our mission and to our members.”
Newly elected board member Andrew Saleeby is encouraged by the influence that COR has earned in Columbia and is looking forward to being a part of all that COR has planned for the future. “I am excited to be joining such an esteemed group as a director of COR and look forward to helping provide its members with ample opportunities to develop relationships… that will be mutually beneficial to both them and the city of Columbia.”
