South Carolina REALTORS® Staff Volunteers to Pack Food Boxes for Senior Citizens

COLUMBIA, SC –  South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR) closed its office Friday afternoon, December 5th, so that its staff could lend a helping hand at Harvest Hope Food Bank.

Association staff members assembled and stuffed 200 boxes of food at the warehouse at 2220 Shop Road in Columbia from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pmThe boxes included milk, juice, dried and canned goods and will be delivered to hundreds of South Carolina’s senior citizens.

“SCR is committed to helping improve the Quality of Life for South Carolina’s citizens … whether it’s through promoting the American Dream of Homeownership, or simply by lending a hand to those who need our help in our communities,” said SCR CEO Nick Kremydas.

Harvest Hope is a food assistance program that distributed more than 28 million pounds of food last year and fed approximately 38,000 people a week.
