Chris Clem Joins SuggsJohnson CPAs Tax Team

COLUMBIA and ANDERSON, SC – South Carolina certified public accountant Chris Clem has joined SuggsJohnson LLC, a South Carolina CPA and business consulting firm, as senior manager on the rapidly growing firm’s tax team.
A native of Greenwood, South Carolina, Mr. Clem joins the firm with more than 16 years of experience in public accounting and industry. He joins SuggsJohnson after spending the last six years as Senior Controller of VELUX America Inc., a subsidiary of the Danish-owned world’s largest manufacturer and distributor of roof windows and skylights. At VELUX, his role included detailed financial statement analysis, strategic planning and the implementation and management of the budget process. Previously, he spent nearly a decade with a large regional accounting firm based in the Upstate.
He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Lander University, and an M.B.A. from the University of South Carolina. He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of CPAs. Civic involvements have included serving as Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair for the United Way of Greenwood and Abbeville Counties, and active involvement with both The United Center for Community Care and Cambridge Academy.
