Scott and Company CPAs Promotes 3 Professionals

COLUMBIA, SC – October 30, 2013 – Scott and Company LLC, one of South Carolina’s leading accounting and consulting firms, has announced the promotions of Kelly Damiano and Chelsea Shoolbred to in-charge accountants on the Assurance and Advisory Services team, while Ryan LaBrooy has been promoted to in-charge accountant on the firm’s Tax and Advisory Services team.
A native of Hillsborough, New Jersey, Ms. Damiano joined Scott and Company in 2012 and is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a B.S. degree in Retail Management and a Master of Accountancy degree. At USC, she was President of the Master of Accountancy Association and an active member of Beta Alpha Psi. Ms. Damiano serves clients in a variety of industries including banking, manufacturing, state and local government, non-profit organizations and retail. She is currently pursuing certification as a Certified Public Accountant in South Carolina, and is affiliated with the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. Shoolbred is a graduate of University of South Carolina – Upstate with a B.S. degree in Business Administration, and earned her Masters of Public Accountancy from Clemson University. A native of Anderson, South Carolina, Ms. Shoolbred joined Scott and Company in 2012. A licensed CPA in South Carolina, she maintains active membership in the Institute of Management Accountants, the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She works extensively with clients in the real estate, hospitality, non-profit and state/local government arenas, as well as with a broad range of closely-held businesses.
A native of Irmo, South Carolina, Mr. LaBrooy joined Scott and Company LLC in late 2012. He has more than three years of experience dealing with individual, corporate and partnership taxation needs of clients in the real estate, hospitality, professional services, advertising, automotive, and retail industries. He also assists businesses with
QuickBooks accounting issues, quarterly and annual payroll filings, and state sales tax returns. He is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with emphasis in accounting. Mr. LaBrooy is pursuing his certification as a Certified Public Accountant in South Carolina, and is affiliated with both the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
