Bobbitt Design Build Completes Expansion and Renovation for XPEDX

COLUMBIA, SC – June 19, 2013 – Bobbitt Design Build recently expanded and renovated the XPEDX facility located at 2826 Shop Road in Columbia. Bobbitt added 40,000 square feet to the existing 80,000-square-foot warehouse and also provided interior renovations to the 10,000-sqaure-foot office.
The warehouse expansion provides an additional eight covered dock bays for use in inclement weather, 50 percent increase in warehouse/distribution area, additional truck parking, tractor trailer turn around area and trailer storage.
“Bobbitt has done work for us, nearly exclusively, for years. Bobbitt recently completed an 80,000-square-foot addition and made it seem like eight, said owner, Jeremy Wilson. The project was completed on time, at budget, and once again most contingency money was given back to partners. The balance of the contingency was used for a tenant upgrade. Everybody, the tenant, the partners, and the lenders were very satisfied with the completed project.”
