ERA Wilder Realty Keeps Current with Industry Changes

COLUMBIA, SC – January 14, 2013 – ERA Wilder Realty is offering classes to update their agents on recent changes made to the Seller Property Disclosure by the State of South Carolina. Jonathan Howell, an attorney of McDonnell and Associates, PA, will be facilitating the classes.
Effective January 1, 2013, several changes were made to the Seller Property Disclosure. This is a required disclosure statement that sellers of residential real estate in South Carolina will provide to buyers prior to signing a contract of sale. The disclosure has not been changed since 2003.

Key changes to the disclosure statement include places that allow for attachments and additional explanation if necessary. The statement has changed from a four to a five page document and requires the seller to provide many more details regarding the condition of the home.
