Elliott Davis Names New Leader of Columbia Office

COLUMBIA, SC – March 4, 2010 – Elliott Davis, LLC, one of the largest accounting, tax and consulting services firms in the Southeast, is proud to announce that R. Jason Caskey has been named Office Managing Shareholder of the firm’s Columbia location.
The announcement was made by James E. Hazel, Jr. who has served as Office Managing Shareholder for Columbia since the formation of the office in 1992. Hazel currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Elliott Davis’ 10 offices throughout South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia.
I have complete confidence in passing the reins to Jason, said Hazel. He understands our clients and our people. Under his leadership, I know our Columbia office will continue to be a leader in the community and one of the top-performing offices in our firm.
Caskey will oversee the day-to-day management of Elliott Davis’ office in Columbia, which is one of the firm’s largest with more than 65 employees. A certified public accountant with 18 years of experience, Caskey serves on Elliott Davis’ Executive Committee. He also chairs the firm’s Financial Services Practice, assisting public and private community banking clients with external audits, internal audits, SEC reporting, and mergers and acquisitions, as well as other business consulting.

Caskey serves on the Board of Trustees for Charleston Southern University and the Board of Advisors for the USC Business Partnership Foundation. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the South Carolina Student Loan Corporation.
