United Way Announces Real Estate Rebate Program for Donors

September 22, 2009

COLUMBIA, SC – September 22, 2009 – United Way of the Midlands is pleased to announce a special partnership with the Real Estate Advantage Program (REAP) managed by Russell & Jeffcoat Realtors. This service is an opportunity for donors to United Way of the Midlands who are planning to buy or sell real estate to receive cash rebates at the conclusion of the transaction.

“REAP is a way for donors to United Way of the Midlands, who so unselfishly give to improve the lives of many of our area’s residents, to receive a reward on one of the largest financial investments they make, real estate,” said Karen Blackmon, REAP program coordinator.

This program allows participating United Way of the Midlands donors to get cash rebates on real estate transactions anywhere in the United States. In addition, REAP assists in providing the highest quality of professional real estate assistance.

  • You receive cash rebates whenever you buy or sell a home or other real estate through the REAP Program.
  • A REAP Move Manager serves as your central point of contact throughout the entire real estate transaction.
  • You receive the highest quality of professional real estate assistance.
  • REAP is your reliable resource to real estate professionals anywhere in the United States.

There are eligibility requirements to become involved in the program. An individual must register with the REAL ESTATE ADVANTAGE PROGRAM Coordinator prior to contacting any real estate agent and work exclusively with the assigned agent through completion of the transaction. The REAP coordinator will pair the program participant with a licensed real estate agent and will follow the program participant through the entire process. “We are pleased to add REAP to more than 50 community-minded businesses that offer special incentives to donors of United Way of the Midlands,” said Mac Bennett, president and CEO. “Our donors find special offers at restaurants, auto repair, salons, clothing stores, cleaners and more. Just visit our website to see all the participating merchants.”
