Chapin Agent Receives Agency Hands in the Community Award from Allstate

Chapin, SC – July 15, 2009 Allstate Insurance Agent Laurie Grooms whose office is located at 220 Columbia Ave., in Chapin has received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for her commitment to volunteering in the community.  With this award came a $500 grant from The Allstate Foundation for Goodworks Organization  in Chapin where Grooms volunteers. 

Laurie is an active and respected member of the business community, said Allstate’s Southeast Region Field Vice President Cliff Butler. She also makes a point of getting involved personally by dedicating herself to making a difference in people’s lives.

 Allstate believes that it is very important for corporations to take an active interest in the communities they serve.  Allstate is proud of Laurie and her efforts to support Goodworks Organization through the Allstate Foundation, concluded Butler.
