Nursing Leader, Dr. Peggy O. Hewlett, Receives Award

COLUMBIA, SC – May 14, 2009 – Dr. Peggy O. Hewlett, dean of the University of South Carolina College of Nursing, was honored as the 2009 South Carolina Nurse Leader of the Year recently during the South Carolina Nursing Excellence Conference in Columbia.
The award recognizes leadership in promoting and enhancing the nursing workforce, improving professionalism, improving the work environment for nurses and improving retention and recruitment of nurses for South Carolina.
